The Journey
The Journey

Sometimes its just easier to see it all laid out in black and white so the process below guides you through how it all works from start to finish

1 Investigate

You look over the website and menus and fill in the contact form with as much information as possible. The more information you provide, the easier the process will be, but if you don’t have all the information don’t worry, and if you prefer to call that’s fine.

2 Review Evaluate & question

I'll send back all the various details, a more accurate menu skeleton quote/outline costs. You review it, make any choices and email them back with your additional feedback or questions. It is at this stage that you can calculate a broad outline of the overall costs so that we are both well prepared before we meet, which makes for a more efficient meeting.

3 meet us

I will respond and at this point, if you are happy with how things are progressing, you can secure the date and we arrange to Skype and/or meet face to face. At this meeting we talk through all the details, putting together a timeline of events and how everything works on the big day. All my clients say how helpful this is.

4 Decision time

If we are all agreed on the catering package, we would send you a confirmation with details of the deposit. You don't pay anything else until 4 weeks before the day. Once the deposit has been received that date is confirmed.

5 Relax, be excited!

You can now rest easy knowing you are going to be having the most amazing food for your big day. We look towards meeting up approximately 3-6 months from the day to run over all details. A tasting can then be arranged for a time that is suitable to all.

The big day!

Leave everything to us so just relax and enjoy it all. You’re in for a real treat.

Weddings And Events

You’ll only do this once and you probably don’t know what to expect. That’s fine. At The Hog and Apple Food Co. we have all the pieces to the event puzzle so you don’t need to worry about a thing. We will guide you and help you make the right choices and in the process make it the enjoyable and exciting experience it should be.

crockery, cutlery & glassware

We supply our own ranges of crockery, cutlery and glassware from our quirky, rustic range, like our individual solid oak plates, to our fine dining range. We will add what you want into your package.

Staff

It is impossible to measure their importance. Our front of house staff are professional, friendly, trendy, polite, attentive, passionate and enthusiastic. We still have the same core team today as we did when the company was founded. On the big day, one of our front of house managers will control and run your event, smoothly, professionally and help create that ‘feel’ you have dreamed of.

Linen

All your linen requirements are taken care of. Simply tell us the relevant details and we will arrange.

Drinks Packages

We are situated next door to Field and Fawcett who boast some of the best wines, fizz and spirit collections in the country. We have a great relationship with them so are proud to be able to offer some superb drinks options to accompany meals, pair with food, for reception drinks, cocktails and canapes or corporate functions. Although we have fantastic set drinks packages, we also have a carefully selected wine and drinks menu so there is the option for tastings where you can upgrade and personally design your own package.

Bar

If it’s an outside event and you are in need of a bar for a wedding or private function, look no further. We have the whole package. The bars are super cool and purpose built and you can choose burnt oak or natural. We have the glassware, the cooling facilities, staff and an extensive stock of wines, spirits, beers and cocktails. We use local breweries for the draft ales such as Wold Top Brewery, Treboom Brewery and Saltaire Brewery.

Private and Corporate

Not only do we cater for weddings but we have always catered for corporate functions where our food is used to enhance the event and company. We also cater for private dining and parties. This can be anything from our famous rare breed spit roast or street food private party to the ultimate fine dining experience held in the comfort of your own home.

InFormal

Choosing this route draws on our professional, individual and creative approach, so to showcase this style we give you various options that suit you and your chosen food.

Crockery and cutlery

Crockery, cutlery and service equipment will set the tone of the meal. A lot of our personality and style is seen in our ranges.  This includes classic fine dining white, to the interesting and quirky with varying colours and handmade design. We are always adding to our collections and this has become a talking point as a way of showcasing our exciting and contemporary food.

Drinks

We can match wines for your food and offer a range of modern glassware to suit.

Our Staff

When we meet, we talk about how our staff operate and will help bring to life your vision of the perfect day. You always have a front of house events manager on the day as your 'go to' person. You can even choose what uniform you want them to wear.

InFormal

Following this guide is an outline of how we help clients create an informal and social aspect to their event through the food and service.

Serving equipment

This is when we use all our wooden platters, floating oak boards, olive wood bowls, cast iron skillets plus all manner of other quirky bowls and boards. The idea is to create the more relaxed style of dining through the use of cool, innovative yet practical serving equipment. The crockery and cutlery will match the theme with striking plates and bowls plus a range of individual wooden place boards for starters and mains.

Drink

This aspect is usually quite similar to the formal aspect where flexibility is the key. We are happy for clients to bring their own drink and we fill in the blanks on glassware, service, cooling and waste removal. But we also have a great range of summer cocktails served from Kilner jars, or craft ales for the guys plus a more individual route of personalised drinks.

Staff

Our staff are always briefed in advance on this style of service as it’s usually a bespoke and individual feel the client is looking to create. Our staff set the scene and adapt to a much more relaxed and social style but without forgetting the practical structure that underpins the day. They will bring to life whatever feel you want on the day. We also have a less formal uniform for this style of wedding with a cooler, more current style.

Private tastings and dining

At The Hog and Apple Food Co. we have our own private tasting room where existing and new clients can come along and enjoy some private dining prior to their event. It is 'one to one' with the chef so you can really get to taste and experience what we are all about and build the excitement for your event.
