One of the best parts of the job is getting to know our couples, leaning about them and the food they love, and seeing this come to life on the big day.
Here are some recent case studies from some of our highlight events:
Heather & Josh
Against the scenic backdrop of Gilling West’s rolling hills, Heather and Josh designed a menu that harmonised with the surroundings. They were drawn to our BBQ beef short rib main course and worked closely with our team to create a seamlessly flowing menu filled with lively flavours and beautiful presentation. Our elderflower sorbet dessert captured the essence of the season and refreshed palates.

Hog and Apple catered our wedding and all we can say is WOW! The food was absolutely incredible and we had so many compliments from guests about how good the food was (and how it far exceeded usual wedding food!). Service on the day was also first class!

In line with Wharfedale Grange’s luxurious ambience, we crafted a menu to exceed expectations. Collaborating closely with Katie, we brought a fresh, innovative twist to wedding cuisine. The highlight was a spectacular main course featuring lamb shoulders on distinctive raised sharing platters. Inspired by Katie’s affinity for flowers, each dish was adorned with vibrant colours and delicate blooms, resulting in a stunning culinary experience, reflecting her bright and beautiful day!

As big foodies, the food served at our wedding was a massive part of the planning process!
The canapes were delicious, funky and fun. Especially the mini Yorkshire puddings served with a novelty mini pint of beer!
We designed our menu with their head chef, Tony, with seasonal produce and design in mind. We settled on the sharing Persian lamb with hot and cold Ottolenghi salads which friends are still talking about today, my mouth waters just remembering it. The prawn starter and passion fruit creme brulee dessert were also absolutely delicious!
Thank you to the whole Hog and Apple team, the food was everything we could have ever wanted and more. I really can’t recommend them enough!

Jack & Hollie
This wedding marked our debut as exclusive caterers at Bunny Hill. Jack and Hollie, with their performing arts background, wanted a menu full of vibrant energy. We opened the show with our renowned scallop and pork belly dish, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience! Ged, the owner, paired a spiced chocolate orange sponge with smoking centerpieces to match the Halloween theme perfectly. For the grand finale, we presented our signature hog roast, leaving a lasting impression on all their guests!

I cannot recommend this company enough, Ged and his team are just phenomenal and create absolute wonders in their kitchens!
The food, service and staff were just INCREDIBLE and the highlight of the whole day. They even managed to serve everyone the perfect scallop and chateaubriand to every guest.
Throughout the whole day, myself and my husband felt so comfortable and looked after, staff really did go above and beyond. All of the team there are amazing, super accommodating and incredibly professional. Additionally, their crockery and cutlery selections are beautiful and complement any table layout!

Rebecca & John
We met Rebecca and John in 2022 at a Thicket Priory open day. After trying our canapés, they knew we were the perfect fit!
Rebecca’s love for desserts led to a unique twist: dessert canapés of mini chocolate and strawberry pancakes, a nod to her obsession and Pancake Day. Our pastry chef crafted a show-stopping ‘woodland floor’ dessert platter with meringue mushrooms, cheesecake toadstools, and pinecone brownies – served to every table!
The next day, Valentine’s Day, we created a themed buffet with heart-shaped fruit, bread, and chocolate-dipped strawberries for Rebecca! Working with Rebecca, John, and the whole Thicket Priory team was a pleasure from start to finish.

Choosing Hog and Apple for our caterers was the best decision we made, our wedding day was incredible because of them. The food was spectacular and the service exemplary.
Mica really supported us throughout the journey from start to finish and we appreciate everything she did for us, especially the tasting experience and our valentines-themed breakfast!
On the day, she knocked it out of the park! The food, service and friendliness of the staff was unprecedented. We have had so many compliments about the food, with many people saying it was the nicest wedding food then have ever eaten and someone saying it’s the best beef they have ever had, full stop. ‘The woodland’ dessert platter was a real show-stopper!
